As a newly qualified nail technician, Director Shelley Tristram found there were no unbranded salon posters or salon stationery available to promote her business. Having searched the Internet and several trade exhibitions, Shelley found nothing suitable.
Teaming up with Amanda, both sisters decided that with their individual skills in marketing, sales and design and their creative ability, they would be able to produce posters, gift certificates and other products to fill the gap in the market. The gamble paid off and the company was born.
3t promotions was launched back in 2002 at The Professional Beauty Exhibition held at London Olympia. "We only had 6 images to showcase then, but the response from Nail Technicians, Beauty Salons and Therapists was quite phenomenal.
Now in our 4th year our portfolio has grown quite considerably and is being added to all the time. Our range of images include – nails and nail art, beauty, tanning and waxing, but will soon include hair, aromatherapy male grooming and more besides. From storyboard to photoshoots to printing, there are many stages that an image goes through before it is suitable to be included in our ever increasing gallery of images.
Joining Shelley and Amanda is Mum, Lucille. Her main responsibility is office manager, however she often takes up the slack wherever necessary to compliment the 3t team in this increasingly successful business.
The newest member of the team is Suzy Till who joined 3t just after Christmas 2005. Suzy deals with retail sales and new accounts.
Selling to salons via the website, at exhibitions and also through several established wholesale outlets, the 3t brand and reputation is spreading fast.
